- Eat whole fruits instead of juices.
- Limit nuts.
- Eat slowly.
- Shop on a full stomach.
- Don't eat fried foods.
- Save leftover beans, rice, and vegetables for homemade soups.
- Cut back butter, oil, and sugar called for in recipes (up to 50%).
- Order dressings & sauces on the side. Dip your fork into the
dressing prior to each bite.
- Avoid foods that taste salty.
- Pass up the coleslaw.
- Split a meal and dessert.
- Avoid foods with sugar (sucrose, corn syrup, dextrose, fructose,
